How can storytelling shift systems?
Over the years, many artists and writers have reached out to me asking for mentorship.
Often the question is the same:
1) What can we do to shift the systems we are living in?
2) How are you navigating these systems and finding access to rooms where voices like yours are not always present?
In my own journey as a writer—from research to memoir—I’ve learned that storytelling can do more than move hearts. It can shift how people understand your positionality within systems, reveal structural inequities, and open space for new conversations.
That is why I’m offering a 4-week online workshop at the Alexandra Writer’s Centre Society Online.
Through readings, case studies, and guided writing prompts, participants will learn how to transform personal experience into writing that is reflective, persuasive, and grounded in social analysis—whether for essays, op-eds, blogs, or advocacy platforms.
📍 Online | 4 weeks | Tuesdays
📅 Begins April 7, 2026| 5:30–7:30pm PT| 6:30–8:30pm MT| 7:30–9:30pm CT| 8:30–10:30 pm EST
If you are a writer, artist, or changemaker wondering how your story can contribute to shifting systems—not just describing them—this space is for you.
